Most of those sales were 99 cent singles. Britney made a pop album, obviously the singles will be more successful. 4 sold more than FF. Britney will never headline the superbowl, she doesn't have the talent to do it.

I don't know how to please you though. You've asked for instances when Beyonce was in the news, I gave you at least 5 rather large stories or stories that were continually picked up as they happened (Instagram, Tumblr, etc.), on a year when Beyonce was on a break and you push them aside. It doesn't matter what the content was, she was still in the news in 2012. And her name wasn't just in the magazine, it was on it, under the words World's Most Beautiful Woman. And that news was everywhere.

& the year before 2012 she released an underperforming album which damaged her consistency.
But it will all depend on 2013 and the new album.
