Sales = lame and pointless.

Shakira is better than Kelly Clarkson regardless of how many God damn albums they sold. Get over it, people. Each and every year sales are declining for EVERYBODY, so I don't see what's so important about them anymore. They matter, sometimes, but it's stupid to bring them up when it comes to liking the actual music.

Anyone who thinks Shakira (who lip synced "Don't Bother" not too long ago at an award show) is better than Kelly Clarkson is seriously ignorant.

People can have their opinions and I will listen, but when idiots think that whatever they say "goes" it just pisses me off.

I actually like Shakira too, she makes good music but don't say she's the best female artist out there.

Anyway, I'm done with this thread, I have better things to do with my time.

Whatever, this thread should be stopped because all it has done has made lots of arguments when the sole purpose was to celebrate how well kelly clarkson has done lately. But nothing can ever be peaceful on this board and nobody can ever just simply be happy for another artist' success. Congratulations kelly and goodnight.

shes not the only one that has lyp......even great madonna does ...... i bet kelly has done too....VMA peformance lets not talk about it

Shakira will always be better for me..................kelly will always be better for u.........if we ask the general public.....shakira will be better ........why??? well 32 million albums..............13 million singles.......45 million in total says it all...

Yes yes it is personal opinion...

Kelly Clarkson has sold around 20 million in total based on 2 albums, Shakira has released many more albums, so basing this on sales is pointless.

Shakira also has the Spanish fanbase....
based on her English Music I doubt she will outsell Kelly Clarkson in the long run.

You cannot base it on sales, thats all I have to say.

shakira sold 14 million in just 1 album...........her first english and international album

thats more than kelly clarckson in just one CD

she already has sold 5 million with both Oral Fixation.....theres still part in the world they havent release specialy UK...... and USA re-release.....2 more millions isnt that hard for shakira to get to 7 million ><
