A beautiful, haunting song about the struggle with fame and staying true to yourself and who you are and part of you being unhappy with what you're becoming/have become. 2013 will be an interesting year for her.
39. MØ - "Pilgrim"
MØ's amazing debut. She reminds me of a fusion of Lykke Li and Grimes and that's definitely a compliment.
38. Kate Boy - "Northern Lights"
One of the best pop songs released this year that will most likely go unnoticed by the general public. They're Charli XCX's US labelmates and they've got my attention. Their also releasing an EP in 20 days so that's definitely something to look forward to!
37. Miley Cyrus - "Lilac Wine" [Cover}
I'm aware that this is a cover, but this specific cover got me interested in Miley again and I just can't stop playing it. It really showcases her beautiful voice.
36. Kimbra - “Something In The Way You Are”
Can't really include most of Kimbra's songs because I found out about a couple of them last year, but SITWYA is one of Kimbra's best tracks. It just makes me want to ... move. If that makes any sense.
20. The xx - "Coexist"
It's no surprise that The xx came back harder than ever. They decided to try a few new things on their sophomore album and every track on it speaks volumes. The only problem I have is that most tracks (much like their debut) start feeling same-y after a few listens.
19. Nite Jewel - "One Second of Love"
Brilliant sophomore album. Her debut was surprisingly good, but her sophomore album is just as amazing.
