But really, the unenjoyable tracks on BTW are REALLY unenjoyable. The bonus tracks are **** and more.

Warrior has no cohesion, nor vision. It has no good standout songs. It has no theme and just borrows heavily from Animal and Cannibal themes. There is hardly any rock, and for the "reinvention of pop music" it's far bigger of a disappointment than BTW. An utter shame considering how much time she took off to produce this album, if I was even a casual fan I would be done with her after she delivered this mess.
|
"Warrior is not cohesive," and then you imply it all sounds the same?
It isn't a concept album. All of the tracks fit together, and they clearly create a well established view of life. It's cohesive, and it has vision.
It isn't a rock album, and there are plenty of rocky tracks (Gold Trans Am, Dirty Love, etc).
Clearly her fans are quite happy with it. I'm sorry you can't enjoy it.

Warrior is just another Ke$ha album: fun, catchy, but ultimately the same stuff she's already done.
Both girls promised an album that was different from their previous work, but only Gaga delivered on that promise. All in all, there are four songs on BTW alone that decimate Warrior, and I think when it's all said and done, the sales will show that.
|
Warrior and Crazy Kids are the most anthemic songs on the album. debatable to say they're on par with EOG, but personally i love that song too much to compare.
they're experimental for Ke$ha's career, the entire album is underground euro dance meets generic mainstream pop with a few rock pop goes electro. it's very different from what she's done so far. and controversial isn't necessarily the same thing as "ballsy". i'm a Monster and even i think that being controversial can very easily become as just a motion to gain attention and when i look back on BTW, it was a huge ploy to get attention. that's not ballsy, that's just trying to be flashy in an edgy way.

The Monsters should just love into the light and get over the fact that people prefer Warrior over BTW

It really sounds nothing like ET, they just both say "supernatural" at some point.
|
Structure? It goes verse, chorus, verse, chrous, bridge, etc. NOTHING experimental about that. "hard verses and soft hooks"...okay It's still the typical Dr. Luke production and formula that would have no problem fitting into radio station playlist...how that can even be compared to HML which probably wouldn't even be able to find a place on any type of radio format, is hilarious.

"Wherever you are, love will never die."
What kind of fairy tale mess?
Her songwriting has gotten nothing but worse in her time off.

The bonus tracks are fun and cute, they're not bad. HU is not filler, the chorus is a bit much but the verses and instrumental . Scheisse, Electric Chapel Americano, and GH are not bad BTW is meh. Judas is pretty bad.
|
Maybe black jesus, but the others are bad and really bring nothing to the album.. they are the epitome of fillers..
Americano is the worse song ever too. I couldn't even hear it the first time fully, and never bothered afterwards. It's like the worst song of all time for me.
I think sheisse and GH are overhyped to the max when in the end they are just blahh..
idk.. obviously this is opinionated, but at least you actually discuss, which I like.
In the end though, warrior has like no fillers, and maybe a bad track here and there for the nitpicky people.. But I love it all so much.. I haven't heard a track that I want to skip yet

What's experimental about HML?
Also, please respond to the rest of my original post instead of just focusing on some random small bit.

I haven't listened to "Warrior" in full yet because I want to listen to it when I actually get the album, but "Supernatural" and "C'mon" were really good!
I think both artists made music that expanded on the sound from their first albums/EP's, but still progressed and made better music for these albums. "Born This Way" is a fantastic album and from what I've heard "Warrior" will be too, but they both bring their own unique sounds and lyrics to the pop world so I don't think there's any use in comparing either.

Asking for proof on something that is subjective and opinion AGAIN? You're involuntarily funny. You should stop.
Anyway, I'll stop as well now. Comment wars like this are absolutely pointless and won't change anybody's opinion.
PS.:
And on a closing note and considering that there are a lot more stans of Gaga on ATRL than there are of Ke$ha, the poll result so far speaks for itself. I'm very, very happy with Warrior, and so are a lot of more people apparently.

The vivid details. The inner rhymes. The memorability.
The fact that this is the worst lyric you could find to post.

no cohesion? there was even less in BTW, there was a mariachi song here, a goth track there, a euro German song, then a country rock ballad, an underground rave, like the whole album's tracklist was a mess, i'm surprised it could even be labeled as a pop album.
at the end of the day, the only real standout songs of the era are Born This Way and Edge of Glory.
also take into account, the album isn't even out yet and we're already judging it, when there are no sales and only one single is out. how about we like wait until it's far enough into the era?

Sis, reinvention has nothing to do with song lyrics or else she would start singing in some alien language, so please take a big seat in the corner, because you're reaching is laughable at this point.

Crazy Kids or Supernatural are as experimental as Government Hooker (none of those three are really all that experimental, though).
Gold Trans Am and Dirty Love are just as ballsy.
There's not one song on BTW as personal and reflective as Wonderland.
There's not one ballad on BTW as beautiful as Past Lives or Love into the Light.
The albums have different intentions. Warrior is certainly not the same as Animal.

Born This Way is a solid album if you take out the deluxe edition that includes those dated bonus tracks plus the horrible remixes. Warrior's bonus tracks only give the album more life.

Actually, every artist has a fair share of mediocre lines in their music.
You could find lyrics that aren't that innovative from Gaga's discography too.
You're just picking and choosing what looks like something basic, to ridicule Ke$ha.
