They're following up their knock-off What Makes You Beautiful with a knock-off Moments? I don't think it will flop like y'all are saying. UK loves a good ballad like this. If it's released in the States, it might take some time to take off Jason Mraz-style, but I think it can do well.

Live Like We're Young was AWFUL, but generic enough for the masses.

This song is beautiful and very sweet. It's not single-worthy at all, but not only is it NOTHING like Moments, it shows a much more vulnerable side to the boys that the general public hasn't seen from anyone but King Liam.

If it flops, which it will, they can always release a third single in late January/early February.

Gotta Be You wasn't even that big on the UK charts after how huge WMYB was. This isn't nearly as good as GBY and LWWY isn't doing as well as WMYB obviously. I could see this plummeting fast on the UK charts.

I doubt their label is dumb enough to not know that this won't do well on the charts so I don't think they're expecting much success from this, but they had to put out something new after Live While We're Young and before the album comes out.
I wouldn't like it if they released one of the potential hits before the album is released, they just need to keep the momentum for now. By the time the album is out then they'll have to release "the best they have".

Well "LWWY" was a tacky rip-off of "WMYB," so it's performance was inevitable. This isn't really comparable to "GBY" at all, or even "Moments". It's a completely different approach than both of those.
