It did 14 million. RIAA count Club Sales with their certifications.

Baby One More Time = 23,500,000
North America: 16,000,000
South America: 550,000
Europe: 4,700,000
Asia: 1,600,000
Oceania: 360,000
Other: 200,000

That's what I have it at. These are kind of old though so she's probably at 24 million.

Britney's older work is actually under certified. So you can't go by much there

Mexico is North America lol. Its also Latin America. South American is everything under mexico. Latin America includes all spanish speaking countries in the American continent.

I think no one will deny that 21 will become a great catalog seller like Fleetwood Mac Rumours or Alanis Jagged little pill in opposite to bad catalog sellers like Backstreet Boy Millenium or NSYNC. So I predict an average sales of 800.000 per year for the next 10 years.

And for the posters who think the follow up wont be that successful. If she make her promise come true than it will be a country album, so 10 millions in the US are easy to get.

And if someone think the CMT guys don't like that, than
look at the standing ovation by the CMT artist of the year (that was before 21)

If she did a country album it would blow up the charts.

And the Grammy's.

FAR more impressive. And it will likely meet/surpass the sales of that album in actual units, too. For a digital age album to do what 21 has done is incredible. Adjusted for the deflation of the market, 21 would be like selling 50-75 million in the 90s. Seriously unheard of.

While Britney's numbers are nothing to scoff at either, it really wasn't out of the ordinary to move massive album units like that during that time period.
