I had no idea Circus went 3x Platinum in Australia even with the backlash that everyone keeps bitching about.

That's amazing considering that's the same amount as 'Oops' and sales in 2008/2009 were much lower than when her first few albums were released. Her sales there have generally been really consistent, she only fell off with 'Femme Fatale' but even then the singles still did well for the most part.

Both albums (Beyoncé's and Britney's) were released in 2008 (Christina's in 2006). Femme Fatale has sold as much as Bionic and Burlesque in the country and these two albums had no radio promotion nor music videos rotation, while Britney had two top 10 singles, plus the hype of her 983739757th comeback.

Being certified first week means there was big initial shipment, nothing more. I don't know if FF is anywhere near Platinum since it last saw ARIA top 100 chart last August and it ended up being #86 Yearly
