You said Last Train to Paris was more cohesive than MBDTF. That's what I'm trying to point out.

I mean everyone has different opinions. I understand where Great Username is coming from (I love the username too lol). MBDTF was very introspective, and I think if you don't Kanye himself interesting, you won't like the album and maybe will just be impressed with the beats from time to time. An album that's more accessible like College Dropout that is more aimed at things other than Kanye will be more appealing.

But that also works towards why I personally like it so much. Being a fan of course. What I will disagree with is the lack of innovativeness that Great Username said it had. I mean combining a a random indie Mike Oldfield song and putting it against operatic vocals right next to a hardcore RZA beat in itself is pretty courageous. Than of course the 3 minute interlude on Runaway, a Smokey song into a Mike Dean guitar solo with a Rick Ross verse over it is pretty crazy. Taking an indie sample like Woods and flipping it into a weird alternative Hip-Hop song. All things i don't think you really see in Hip-Hop.

I mean that's a very basic explanation but I don't want to ramble. As far as it getting snubbed, I think it would break down into 2 factors. 1. The fact that WTT and MBDTF were nominated. I mean when Kanye himself says that he ****ed that up, than you know it must have played a factor. A guy who works for the academy said himself he was surprised it didn't make it but said it was for sure because of the split votes with WTT. But it also could be 2. The Grammy's not wanting an artist like Kanye West to win. He's everything they don't really like. So ya they'll give him the Rap categories cause it's kinda mandatory, but they can easily snub him on the general ones. Which is why he gets so pissed. If they won't give it to Eminem for Recovery which is everything the Academy loves, it'll be hard to give it to someone like Kanye West for an album like MBDTF.

I'm sorry but your comments really dug a hole in my chest. I think Kanye! is right and I respect your opinion. I'm not here to fight but saying that there is so much '********' in the article seems too far down. You could've acted professionally in your very first comment in the thread. But to be fair, Fearless not only far outsold all of those albums, it had more acclaim than all of those albums. It swept all of the award shows and it won the aggregate critic's opinion.
