I mean besides a few tweaks, everything has been done before. I mean the Harajuku culture in Japan has been dressing wacky before 2008, so, does that mean Gaga "copied" them? No. Even with Madonna. A lot of her style in her early career has been seen before by Marilyn Monroe. Does that mean she's copying her? No.

It's just funny how people act like Gaga is the first one ever to dress weird. I mean besides the meat dress and a few other outfits, the idea of dressing weird has been done before (i.e. Marilyn Manson).

But like Nicki said on the album, people with simple minds have to draw a comparison to interpret an artist. You're not an artist if you're not "copying" someone. It's sad.

to all of you saying that Nicki hasn't at all copied Gaga because Gaga herself was inspired by others like Madonna... I just want to point out that it was most of ATRL that love to pounce on Gaga whenever she does something that's been done by someone else, especially Madonna, and call her a copycat. You can't have it both ways... So in a few words, Nicki has indeed been inspired and copied gaga and you can tell by a ton of her performaces... a few years a go had she been out b4 Gaga i seriously doubt she would have done such over the top creative performances. And everytime Nicki says she and Gaga are completley "different" is so much ******** the poor bull had to have been born with two anuses.

You can blame Laurie-Ann's production for the similarity of the performances (you saw the same thing in Katy's KCA performance) and while they both choose to wear outrageous outfits, Nicki wears outfits that are 100% completely her and suit her persona.

I agree though it might not necessarily be Nicki. Laurianne has an interview where she stated that she MADE Lady Gaga out to be the next Madonna and that she purposefully made her designs like that.Maybe she's out to make Nicki look like Gaga?
