I get so tired of the "SHE ONLY DID 2 PERFORMANCES!!!!" excuse. And let's not forget that touring ain't promo. The fact is, Femme Fatale flopped, and no excuses brought up will make it any better. 1. metacritic did not refer to her as primarily a pop singer: true. (they only called her a british singer)

2. there's far more to it than just music: true. (and adele is generally "all about the music")

but in the end people will always have different ideas of what a pop star is, and unless we get some definitive source to settle the "argument," neither of us will ever truly be right or wrong.

i respect your opinion regardless of which parts i agree with and those i don't. all i ask is that you respect mine as well and not flat out say i'm wrong when, again, neither of us has anything truly definitive to back our opinions up.

Don't bother. "No promo" and "non-commercial" are stanbase go-to tools for any kind of slip up. It's never your fave's fault when you have an excuse handy.
