Leaving out her country debut, the first two years of her career, the numerous accolades and honors she's recieved, her critically acclaimed songwriting talent, her nearly $100 million grossing tour, the fact that she introduced a massive pop-oriented trend in country that has allowed artists like Lady Antebellum to exist.
Taylor hasn't surpassed Britney, but I do think she's more worthy of the Beyonce-Gaga-Britney trinity than Britney is... If that makes sense.

Um....PLEASE! Let me educate you on some major cross-format Country/Pop musicians that actually are the ones who have "pave the way." Ever heard of SHANIA TWAIN? The woman who has one of the best selling albums of all time by a female artist? Ever heard of THE DIXIE CHICKS? One of the best selling country acts of all time? Some would even mention Faith Hill or Carrie Underwood who both have seen major success in mainstream music with certain songs.
Taylor did not create the blueprint for major Country/Pop acts, she was merely following the blueprint that was laid out before her. It's not a knock at her, Britney followed the combo of blueprints that Janet and Madge laid out for her.

Most of your faves can't even sell out 20,000 in the 02 Arena

Um, what? Taylor Swift has never performed in the WEMBLEY STADIUM for any of her tours. She has performed in the 12,500 seat WEMBLEY ARENA (which Britney has been playing in since her debut), but not the Wembley Stadium in the UK. Do try to make sure you come with 100% accurate information when making such claims because that is a MAJOR difference. At 18-20, Britney was performing in stadiums in multiple continents at end. I mean...that's what a Global phenomenon with diamond albums in like three different countries do.

OKAY? The craze and fandom that she created in her debut was I-N-S-A-N-E.

Impact? No. Taylor Swift is getting bigger in the US in terms of influence, but Britney's worldwide influence and impact is eons above Taylor. She still has a while, honestly.

Taylor's acclaim is impressive, anyone to knock that should told about themselves. But let's not forget the name in one of your pics, "The new plateau fall just short of the all-time record for the best first week by a female artists, set by Britney Spears'
Oops!...I Did It Again, which sold 1.31 million copies its first week.
Let's not also forget, Taylor is a major fan of Britney's and has been since she was a little girl. I mean Taylor stated she idolizes Britney and has even gone to some of her tours (past and present). Britney adorned the walls of TayTay's bedroom and bathroom over the years and that came from her mouth. Tay has been a loyal member of the Army for quite some time now.
Just another example of the INFLUENCE and IMPACT that Britney has had in Pop music and Pop Culture in general. No one can play down Taylor's success! The local excuse doesn't hold up when she has seen some success in Asia and Oceania with the past two albums.
The fact that some of you are comparing Taylor to Britney in sheer magnitude of the artist is crazy. The biggest thing Taylor has on Britney is the awards, but more so domestically. Don't forget, Britney has won a boat load of Internationally Awards throughout the years and especially in the earlier times. Someone needs to explain to me how TayTay surpassed the 6th all time best-selling female artist because that's news to me.
