I use to be a massive stan but now I'm a causal fan. I have been bored with her this era but I wouldn't say she's become boring, but rather her eccentric stunts have become a bore and a bit much. I wish she would tone it down, hopefully she does with the next era.

She still has more personality than her peers. People can say she's "boring" but everyone looks forward to a Gaga video and performance to see what she's going to do.

TOTALLY! She used to be fun and enjoyable.
Now all she does is thank her fans and stand there singing an acoustic version of her song while crying every single damn time she performs the song. She isn't even dancing anymore! And her videos are getting boring, too.

The point is no one understood it. No one understood why she dressed as Kermit the frog. Up until this day, people still don't understand Gaga. Let's not romanticize the past just because we want Gaga to recycle a previous era from her, she's still viewed just as "weird/ugly." No one looked at the the red crown hat and said 'ah, high fashion.' They probably thought '...what the **** is on her head.' As always the case with Stefani.

She is being "the real" her. She loves the music she created on The Fame but that was more so to break into the industry and get her name out there. She couldn't start off her career making music like she's making now without creating a strong fan base first. She's a commercial pop star.

The music she created on 'Born this way' is what she really wanted to do.

Anyone who thinks the BTW era is so similar to her last two that she has become boring isn't paying the fullest attention.

First of all, the music of each era is noticeably different. TF = light radio pop TFM = dark radio pop BTW = dark, more grungy, "sledgehammer" pop mixed with politicial messages. BTW is obviously the most complex.

Second of all, the image is different for each as well. TF's difference is obvious, TFM was more couture, elegant gowns with dark undertones, but BTW is more grungy, scientific (with her whole Pegasus things on her face, the egg, birth on stage) look with dark undertones, if that makes sense. BTW is more sci-fi than TFM was.

What we, as fans, have gotten used to is her crazy outfits - that's just her niche. Every popstar has a niche, so it's not like she's the only one. The BTW era has been different enough even with the outfits, especially music-wise. People only say she's gotten boring because her chart runs have gotten boring for her singles from the album - & MTN has made people think the entire era was a flop (a delusion). The sales are fine & prove her selling power.

The last thing she did that was shocking to me was Jo Calderone at the VMAs. The role was well played. I don't think she can do that to me again unless pictures surface of her out and about wearing Jeans and a shirt with heels and blonde hair.
