30. DRAKE - MARVIN'S ROOM
Isn't it strange when a buzz single is better than an album's first single? I'm talking about Marvin's Room in relation to Headlines. Now, I love Headlines, but Marvin's Room far exceeds it. In a song that is an evolved version of a song off of his So Far Gone EP/mixtape, it's six minutes of sad reminsinsce & emotional vocals. It's nice to see a tough dude show vulnerability. I think he has guts to do what he does as a musican - to rap as hard as he does, and sing as openly as he does. Drake is an open book - a good thing.
29. CALVIN HARRIS - BOUNCE (featuring KELIS)
Why this wasn't a huge hit is unknown to me, especially with the current hot streak of Calvin Harris productions with Rihanna on the Hot 100 (& worldwide charts in general). With an 80s-esque production and relaxed vocals by Kelis, it's a summer tune at heart, but sounds great at any time of the year. Calvin has become one of my favorite producers, and I can imagine pop singers will start running to him for hits soon.
28. RIHANNA - YOU DA ONE
I was so worried when I heard Dr. Luke had worked with Rihanna. I didn't want it to happen, to be honest. Thankfully, it turned out alright, and this sounds noticeably different than some of the trash he has recorded. It still has that Rihanna flavor and not a watered down sound that would've been awful. Obviously made for radio, it's immediatley catchy & the chorus is a typical explosion of Luke productions. So, should Rihanna work with again? This isn't anything worth raving about, but another one would be alright.
27. BEYONCÉ - PARTY (featuring ANDRÉ 3000)
Another summer-esque tune, I'm not surprised that this is currently the best performing single off of the 4 album. Did anyone NOT expect Party to be an urban radio hit? No. With a great voice by 3K & chill verses by Bey, the beat is huge, but never overwhelms. There isn't much else explanation needed.
26. LADY ANTEBELLUM - WE OWNED THE NIGHT
For starters, that is easily the best album cover of the year. Secondly, I received this album for Christmas today, and the title track is easily my favorite. What makes it so good? It's Need You Now's more interesting cousin. It has a memorable melody, beautiful harmonies, and is a perfect pop/rock crossover. Why this isn't a pop smash is what I'm wondering. Great first track on their best album by miles.

Bounce and party in Marvin's room. (Even if "Marvin's Room" the song is just about the worst song to play at a party ever. )

25. FLORENCE + the MACHINE - LOVER to LOVER
What is surely the most underrated gem on Ceremonials, this song is magnificent. I really hope it eventually gets a video. It sounds like nothing they have ever done before, and is anthemic. Who knows why they chose No Light, No Light as a single over this.
24. DRAKE - THE MOTTO (featuring LIL WAYNE)
This is surprising coming from Drake, even though it's his millionth collaboration with Lil Wayne. Drake doesn't usually produce straight up urban bangers - but that's exactly what this song is. Calling it just a bonus track is an insult, since it's so much more than that. As it continues to explode I wish the best for it.
23. LADY GAGA - HEAVY METAL LOVER
Marry the Night & Born This Way who? This song rocks. It's bizarre, it has dark undertones, and it holds nothing back. It's not cheesy & it's easily one of the catchiest moments of the record. It's a shame this will probably never get a video, but it's whatever.
22. BEYONCÉ - 1+1
No one else loves this song as much as I do. Listen to those vocals & tell me that they don't give you chills. It's a magnificent opener for 4, & it couldn't emphasize the mood of the album better than it does. It reminds me of a Western movie because of the instrumental, & just like the cowboys, Bey shoots her peers down easily. Her vocals are unmatchable.
21. AVRIL LAVIGNE - EVERYBODY HURTS
[SIZE="3"] Yeah, remember that album that flopped last year? Well, it happens to be one of the best albums of 2011, & easily the most undeserved flop of the year. This track is definitely the underrated gem. It's beautiful, authentic, & reminds me of the days her music was so personal to me. Who CAN'T relate to this song?[/SIZE
20. RIHANNA - TALK THAT TALK (featuring JAY-Z)
Oh, this song is my JJJAAAAM. The only thing that ways it down is Jay-Z's overly-long & sub-par verse, but Rihanna's parts are pure life. From the second verse to the insanely chorus to the climax of the song, the bridge, everything past the one-minute mark makes this song everything that all of her other #1 hits are. I'm predicting another huge hit, how about you?
19. BEYONCÉ - I CARE
This song is ridiculous - ridiculously good. It's actually genius to be honest. I have no further explanation besides - witness the greatness.
18. RIHANNA - WE ALL WANT LOVE
Farewell stans will remain pressed ( ) at this underrated song on Talk That Talk, & a song I hope becomes a future single. I mean, those tribal dreams, her loud & soaring vocals, & that simple, catchy chorus is reason for anyone to scream about finding love. Maybe in a hopeless place.
17. LADY GAGA - YOU & I
Epic. Any question? Nope. Okay. A departure from all her other material & one of the greatest on BtW. Edge of what who?
16. JENNIFER LOPEZ - I'M INTO YOU (featuring LIL WAYNE)
So I'm not Ms. Penny's biggest fan, but this song is the total Rihanna-esque jam! Lil Wayne is such an added bonus, & Jennifer's chorus is amazingly catchy. It should've been a #1 single, but radio refused to ever pick it up accordindly. What is wrong with you all, letting OtF be a bigger hit than this?
