Album Review:
It has been around four years since Avril Lavigne dropped her last record for the fun pop album The Best Damn Thing and this year, she offered her latest one for Goodbye Lullaby. After listening to the entire album, I can say that the theme of the entire disc is all about regrets and sadness based on her personal relationship. The intro track 'Black Star' starts the mood of the album as Avril sings in a lullaby tune talking to a black star. The next few tracks are obviously the singles released of the album; 'What The Hell' sets up a fun vibe sound which resembles 'Girlfriend' when it came out. My personal and both at the same time the standout track of the album would have to be 'Wish You Were Here' as Avril's vocals sounds amazing with this track talking about wanting her man to be with her. Probably the only happy side is shown on this album for 'Smile' which is another highlight of this album. The next tracks didn't quite caught my attention or it just doesn't grew on me such as 'Stop Standing There', 'I Love You' and 'Everybody Hurts'; I was about to give up on this album to be honest but the following tracks saved it. Avril shows more personal side here such as on the ballad 'Not Enough', another personal favorite of mine is 'Darlin'' as Avril shows some inspriring line talking to a girl telling everything will be fine. Avril recalls the past on the heartfelt song 'Remember When' and she bids farewell to her love on 'Goodbye'. The track sounds good but majority of the lines are repetitive. Avril manage to release a good album; it might not be as good as her previous work but it's worth the to listen to.

Album Review:
2011 will come to an end it here is Rihanna once again having another great year under her belt. It was a quick one year that has passed when I did a review and included Loud on my albums list last year and now here she is once again with yet another offering to her fans with Talk That Talk. I was not prepared that she will once again have an album that's why this one ended up placing outside the top 10. Talk That Talk is another upgrade from her previous discography as Rihanna tries to experiment with hip hop, R&B, electro and dancehall tunes. The album starts with Dr. Luke produced track for 'You Da One' which adds some Carribean flavor, this had yet to grow on me but I'm pretty sure it will surely be a good hit. Rihanna is searching for her man on the addictive 'Where Have You Been'. The lead smash single 'We Found Love' had already set the album era into a success as Rihanna gets some help from Calvin Harris while Jay-Z adds flavors and starts the title cut for 'Talk That Talk'. Other highlights on the album is the slow jam 'We All Want Love' and 'Roc Me Out' on which I get a 'Rude Boy' tease on my first listen. 'Watch 'N Learn' features a flirtatious and playful hip hop melody while 'Farewell' expresses of having to miss your loved one. The tracks for Talk That Talk are somewhat danceable and irresistible because of the beats. Truly, Rihanna proves to be a hit machine scoring another hit album. I wouldn't be surprsised if she will release her 7th next year.
