I see GaGa stans saying "It's just MTV". Ok, give back your VMAs then.
I see Rihanna stans saying "Would MTV lie?" Ok, get over the VMAs then.
Who gives a **** anymore? Let's just give credit where credit is due.

And in doing that, she's created an album that is badder, raunchier and louder than anything she's ever done before; an endlessly compelling, hit-soaked, high-powered thing that's not only the best effort of her career, but arguably the best pop album of 2011. Talk That Talk outmuscles Born This Way, outguns Femme Fatale and, while it might never outsell 21 (because, really, what album can at this point?), it certainly outworks it.

Well of course, that guy is a blogger with an ulterior motive.
The fact that he even showed up is pitiful.

4 isn't a pop album, so MTV may just right about this being the best pop album of the year.

The fact that he was invited proves your point and everyone else's point wrong. Ain't no money, ain't no favors being passed around.

Not that 21 is competition for anybody though.

Shut Up and Drive, Rockstar 101, and S&M aren't.

Not today. I don't need a visit from ATRL-o-Matic. But watch yourself; you only just got back.

I'm a rihanna stan, but please stop with the delusions. PLEASE. Umbrella is not better than anything on 21. Notta. ZILCH. Is it a good song? Yes, but does it match the production and lyrical content off of ANYTHING on 21? Hell no.

Well, if her new album, Talk That Talk — in stores November 21 — is any indication, she's not really sure of the answer. But here's the brilliant thing about the disc: Rather than go searching for a new public persona, this time around, she's simply content to sharpen her focus.
And in doing that, she's created an album that is badder, raunchier and louder than anything she's ever done before; an endlessly compelling, hit-soaked, high-powered thing that's not only the best effort of her career, but arguably the best pop album of 2011. I didn't say that Def Jam was buying the reviews.
I meant that typically listening party reviews are more about THIS ALBUM IS SO NEW! rather than assessing the actual content of the album.
My bad. Should've articulated it better.
