Rihanna's videos this era have been very lackluster—which is a disappointing as a fan, because previously I would have considered her one of the premier video artists of the contemporary pop scene. "Cheers" is cute (I like the unexpected Avril cameo), but once again, it was nothing special.

What are you talking about? 
The Only Girl and S&M videos were visually spectacular, the Man Down video had a fantastic plot, and while What's My Name? was a bit boring, it was cute nonetheless. And now the Cheers video is a great video to show her appreciation for her fans, and it really does fit the song. The only "lackluster" video this era would be California King Bed.
