Just like with the Artist of the Millennium award, Britney is the original recipient, but decided to pass on due to scheduling conflicts. Congratulations to her anyway, because if there is anyone after Britney who deserves it, it is Beyoncé.

Beyoncé was RIAA's most certified artist of the decade though. Britney was the best selling, most successful and most influential female artist of the last decade, US and worldwide, look it up.
