Anyway. Only people who always criticize Britney make Femme Fatale out to be a dubstep album. They took it very literal, while it was always mentioned as being an influence. At the same time, they think because Dr. Luke & Ke$ha worked on the album, it's a "Ke$ha album". Shows you how wide their thought process is.

Initially people were calling Britney a has-been this era and that people are no longer interested in her, yet lately these other girls can't even match up her current "moderate" success. And that's over a decade in the business!

Out of all of them, Britney is the one creating the amazing music. It's not even comparable. That is enough proof of her musical awareness and influence. She knew what kind of artist she was from the start and allowed herself to grow and develop in that same ground.

With dubstep, I always knew it was Sky Ferreira her thing. Look at for example Traces.
Then Femme Fatale came and now it's a new genre when you combine Pop and Dubstep.

To me, this is very delusion. But DrLuke is an authority and none of us have produced any (hits) so his word is justified. Delusional, but justified opinion.

It's not real dubstep... more like a lighter side of it. Tell a true dubstep fan about Britney using it on FF and they'll laugh at you.

Inside Out instrumental is pure dubstep in it's entirety. It's also evident on Hold it against me, Drop Dead, Seal It With A Kiss & Trouble For Me.

Trip To You Heart is also sub-genre of dubstep called "Trancestep".

The album is dubstep INFLUENCED, not completley dubstep, it obviously had to retain a sense of "mainstream pop" in order for audiences to identify with & in order to sell, but you cannot deny it was progressive & a step forward for pop, sonically.

Circus, yes. Fatale, no.

I think many people don't understand what Luke meant. He meant that Britney's music is very identifiable. As in, everyone knows Britney's music. It's either you like her music, or you don't. She holds up to her own. She has her well-known touch on all of her songs that no one in the industry has (debatable, but that's my opinion).

I disagree somewhat. While Femme Fatale may not as innovative as In the Zone or Blackout, it is still a quality pop album that reaches out to progress further into electronic. And Femme Fatale is definitely not equivalent to Circus, as you implied above.
