honestly, the video is beautiful. Born this way is nice and well thought, but comes off as boring and trying to hard at times. This is better, it's like a holywood movie, very classic. Also Katy's make up and looks > Gaga's.

This might win VMA for video of the year... I just hope Rihanna will try something bold too to be in the mix, if only Russian Roulette video had the recognition it deserved

So now you can't compare one video to another artist's video with similar themes without getting a warning point? It's a natural comparison, you guys -- even made by professional reviewers. Take it easy. Why are people getting upset and report-happy because they like a video over another video. A little juvenile, no?

Anyway, I agree with what Vertigo Stick said. I like the video and also enjoy it better than the-video-that-shall-not-be-named, but I think critics/fans are overreacting on the "epic" aspect. 75% of the video IS just floating, after all. Although, visually, the cinematography is beautiful, not much is happening until you skip ahead 3 minutes.

Wow, good job Katy! I really enjoyed this video and I can easily call it her best so far. However, I think it's a big stretch to call it the best music video of the year or something.

In my opinion, people are "overreacting" to this video because it is so much better that all her others. An improvement like this video should not go unnoticed though.
