Violet didn't you know Britney was the scapegoat of pop music ?
She took on that role as soon as her debut single was released, always taking the flake for everything all the time and rarely getting credits for anything.
The price you have to pay as the girl that paved the way for pop domination.
And this will probably be the last single, "Inside Out" will definitely be released as third (at least I hope so.)
Yeah I really don't understand why people say she can't sing. She can sing very well. Personally, I would like her vocals to be a little more raw or natural in her songs. That slightly distorted sound she did on some of the Oops! songs got very popular and she put more of that out over the years. The raw break the ice vocals are great.
I feel you and I think she hits a D5 in "Inside Out" ! The voice is still in there !
What people don't understand it that it's not her natural voice on most of her songs.
The real thing sounds more like this :
It's way too strong and would sound awful on pop gems like "Slave", "Toxic", "Womanizer", Everytime" etc.
Basically most of her signature songs.
But her instinct still permitted her to give a unique and recognizable flavor to these iconic songs.
In a way, it's true she's a little bit of a fraud.
Not because she can't sing but because she convinced a lot of people that that was the case.
And the fact that she rarely ever sings live kinda sealed the deal.
I can understand people not liking her voice but I don't like when they post their opinions as a fact.
Quote:
She's a pop star and has to go with the times. It's hard for her to switch to just the raw vocals without manipulation because that is the sound these days. I hope there are some non-dance tracks on the album.
Right. But there's also the fact that tons of people actually love these kind of vocals coming from her.
Theyll probavbly release this as a 3rd single just because of will.i.am
omg i hope that truly doesnt happen...i know i should judge until we hear the final version, but will.i.am has not impressed me AT ALL within the last 2 years...
