Everyone is always going to be having to prove something if you think about, but she's literally in the process of proving that she doesn't need a shocking image to be an artist. It's literally what people have been wanting her to do since day one.
I love how you guys use TF & TFM monster as separate eras trying to prove she's not a one era wonder, but when it comes to biggest debut eras of all time TF(M) suddenly becomes one era

Not to mention quality. She has one decent album, that's it. It's not even great because it has 8 songs, 2 of which suck. The rest of her albums are bad to awful. She hasn't proved anything yet to be honest.

In terms of album quality I meant.
She has proven she can deliver quality songs, she has plenty. But not yet a quality body of work.
Gaga has more to prove for sure. But she has already accomplished so much in such a short amount of time which is why it feels like she has faded.
At the end of the day, she has had more accomplishments than most of her contemporaries will ever have and will always have her talent to fall back on which can't be said for some of ATRL's favs.
