Yes, every death is tragic. But that doesn't mean you go and hijack another movement.
The context is, like another poster said, using "__ lives matters" is clearly a reference to black lives matters. To say blue/police lives matters is a response to black lives matter and insinuates that the black lives matter movement is to blame. Like someone else said, go find other words. I liked the #stoptheviolence hashtag. That's a generic enough statement that can show support to both groups.
Yea, a lot people use that argument, because it's accurate. If it was so weak, then you would have had a better rebuttal.
