Logic is easy to understand. The only reason why people lie, cheat and steal still is because they can get away with it. Even a sexual lifestyle with numerous partners. The consequences of sleeping with a hundred people doesn't outweigh the act of taking a life, regardless of how both immoral they are.

no, a soul is something pseudo-scientific. both humans and animals have a mind and perceptiveness. we are a creature tht developed from apes, other species will probably develop aswell.
i have nothing against faith on a private, personal level. i just hate when it gets used as laws, teachings etc...
and what egypt needs is harmony and not more religious turmoil, but lemme just say that the christians aren't exactly the ones to blame for all the **** that has happened there so good on you.

Its shocking to me how many people think life would be meaningless and there would be no point in living if there's no afterlife. It's one of the fundamental differences between religious and nonreligious people.

I'm aware that there probably is no afterlife. Of course nobody can say that with definitive proof, but there's no evidence supporting the idea that there is. It seemsfarmore likely that we die and that's it. And that's okay. That doesn't mean life doesn't have "meaning". Everyone makes their own meaning. You're incredibly lucky to get to experience life, and should make the most of it while you can and not spend your time thinking about some imaginary "better life".

Life is what it is, and I wish people would just accept that and life live to the fullest instead of deluding themselves into thinking there's some supernatural "greater" plan to all the chaos.

All the things that animals aren't and we are separates us. On an evolutionary scale, on a religious scale, whatever you may believe. I don't think animals are worth less than humans though.
And yes, I agree. There should be a seperation between church and law. I have said it many times and will say it again: Egypt and other Middle Eastern countries will never develop when they continue to follow the grounds of their religion which make their countries so unstable.
And yes, the Red Sea truly is amazing. You should. I was in Marsa Alam last year. Probably going to Hurghada this year
