Fall Out Boy’s “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark,” which peaked at #13, drops from #15 to #18 in its 22nd week. The song tops the 2 million mark in digital sales. It’s the group’s fourth song to hit this threshold, following “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down” (2,535,000), “Thnks Fr Th Mmrs” (2,405,000) and “Dance, Dance” (2,170,000).
Phillip Phillips’ “Gone, Gone, Gone” dips from #31 to #33 in its 18th week. The song tops the 1 million mark in digital sales this week. It’s the follow-up to “Home,” which has sold 4,637,000 copies. Phillips is the first American Idol winner to notch more than one million-seller since 2008 champ David Cook, who has also had two: “The Time Of My Life” (1,482,000) and “Light On” (1,166,000).
Amazing
Knew it would stall soon on Billboard Hot 100 though. . He needs an increase in digital sales or it's over and going to miss Top 30. Hate streaming.
If you had told me at the beginning of the year that Daft Punk would release a single that would hit #2 on the Hot 100 and stay there for a month, I would have laughed in your face...and then secretly hoped that something that audacious could actually happen. Absolutely amazing.
And at that Arianna song and Clarity moving like snails The chart is so slow since they changed the AirPlay value and reminds of those ridiculous charts from. 2002-early 2005
They changed the airplay weighting the same time as they added streaming, and I think it's more the streaming inclusion that made the chart slower.
Ciara’s “Body Party” jumps from #34 to #25 in its 11th week. Her new “I’m Out” (featuring Nicki Minaj) is the week’s top new entry at #50. Both songs are from her album Ciara, which is expected to debut at #2 on next week’s Billboard 200 with first-week sales in the 55K range..
CIARA! Considering how big of a name she use to be and how quick she fell from fame, this is pretty damn good! I realize that her style didn't continue through the later years in the 2000's, but she did change her sound to "fit" the mainstream trends. This should help her regain some confidence from her label rather than having them drop her ... for now.
