Only Denmark and another country whose name I don't remember have liberal governments.
The rest of the countries in the EU are ruled by conservative regime. The last one overthrown was Spain's weeks ago.
Maybe conservative by European standards. But when compared to American politics, even the most conservative Europeans would be considered center-left in America.
Alot of young 18-21 year old Progressives are going to sit around, make Youtube video responses slamming Perry, and start text chain letters, but so many of these kids are not even freakin' registered to vote.
Exactly out of all the people who support Gay rights / give Perry hate online, HOW MANY ARE GOING TO VOTE NEXT YEAR? lmao. I bet like 1/8

Can you give me some receipts please I legit thought that Europe as a whole was much more liberal, compared to the U.S...
EDIT: I didn't mean to sound rude in that first post btw. I just suck at using emoticons on this site :sobs:
Yeah I got your point, of course people are more open-minded in Europe but the sad truth is that 24 of 27 governments in the European Union are conservative. The right wing parties are curb stomping the liberals and social-democrats through all Europe.
They minority and gay vote definetley are crucial. I just don't want people to get it twisted that having 26,000 dislikes on Youtube is a reflection of how America is going to vote. These middle-aged to elderly Southern White American Republicans ESPECIALLY take politics seriously and they head out in DROVES to be the first in line to vote for their candidate.

The hype about having a first Black president and getting a Dem. in office was hot in 2008, but Obama is under SO much criticism now that honestly its a toss-up.
Can a mod please edit the title it feels weird having a obvious typo in the title of a somewhat intelligent political discussion. Unless it was supposed to be a play on words I don't get it if it is.
I think Romney is the best of the republican candidates. the rest are worthless.
The Republicans need a new candidate -- all of the current ones are damaged goods.
I would like to see them match Obama with a young, new pioneer instead of a seasoned veteran like they tried to do with McCain.
Obama did some good things, but he also did some bad....the President seat is anyone's for the taking next year as long as the Republican's pick the right candidate.

This is true. I think alot of you guys are around alot of liberal-minded people, but you might be surprised at how many Republicans (and Democrats for that matter) are out there who would vote for this guy. Like someone else said, probably most of the people dragging him aren't even old enough to vote, or aren't even interested in politics enough to go out and actually vote when the time comes.
And things are looking a bit shabby for Obama, so who knows, we might have a Republican in the Oval Office next year, whether its Perry or whoever. I don't think all Republicans are bad however, just as I don't think all Democrats are good either.
I agree, but I will honestly be shocked if Obama isn't re-elected. It's real slim pickings for the GOP.
Everyone knows about the tea the Austin Chronicle spilled years ago on Perry right? The tea that seems to have been conveniently buried about his wife walking in on him with a MALE aide and then he paid her off to shut up about it? Look it up.
Stuff like this used to not really piss me off but I'm so fed up with every goddamn GOP candidate spewing this ********. That party is a joke and I will never vote for them as long as they support theocracy and an anti-gay agenda.
