Going on with #80-#71 Best Singles of the Year. Comment
80. Sam Sparro - I Wish I Never Met You
A lovely track from the one who's more
known for his dance hit single Black & Gold.
This heart-breaking jam is paired with a
greatly directed and choreographed video.
Peak: #26 Weeks: 12 Points: 551,600
79. James Morrison - One Life
A powerful ballad extracted as the last singel
off the songwriter's latest effort "The Awakening".
The strong point are definitely the lyrics!
Peak: #30 Weeks: 12 Points: 554,600
78. Nina Zilli - Out Of Love
The flawless song that represented Italy
For the Eurovision Song Contest held in Baku
this year. I love jamming to it, it's so catchy, retro
and jazzy: just irresistible! And the video, even tho
so simple, manage to make her look still more hot!
Peak: #15 Weeks: 9 Points: 571,000
77. Rihanna - Where Have You Been
I have such a love/hate relationship with it.
I mean some day I feel like it's an epic rave
song and the day after it seems boring to me
Peak: #16 Weeks: 10 Points: 605,600
76. Conor Maynard - Can't Say No
This really fun song was defining for Conor's
career, I still don't get why someone can compare
his debut to JB's one: totally different paths tbh.
"houston, I tink we've got a problem"
Peak: #17 Weeks: 11 Points: 614,900
75. Florence + The Machine - Spectrum (Say My Name) [Calvin Harris Remix]
[I]This remix of the already beautiful song off
"Ceremonials"[makes the song bombastic!
The mix of Florence's powerful vocals and
Calvin's solid production explode definitely
on the chorus, the best moment of the song./I]
Peak: #27 Weeks: 13 Points: 636,200
74. Christina Aguilera - Your Body
The first single from X's latest album
has an hit-ready production delivered by
Max Martin and Christina's strong vocal on it.
Even though I like the song there's something
that doesn't click with me and I have still to
realize what.
Peak: #26 Weeks: 11 Points: 643,000
73. Skunk Anansie - I Believed In You
A great rock track from the band's "Black Traffic".
I love the energy you can feel through those
guitars, drums and every other instrument and
Skin's raw voice takes it still higher.
Peak: #23 Weeks: 11 Points: 647,000
72. Shakira - Addicted To You
Rihanna makes a comeback to her roots
with this merengue hard-influenced upbeat
track from Sale El Sol and I love it + the video
is the best of the era!
This bests a lot their first collaboration (see #75)
thanks to a properly done production and not a
remixed one and Florence's heavenly voice on it.
Whou would've thought that two worlds so different
could've mixed themself so well? That breakdown>>>
I checked out all the songs that are in this set that I haven’t heard even hear yet. The Sam Sparro song is impressive and some good standard and different dance feel to it, I’m familiar with James Morrison ‘s work and this song is very excellent to listen to and like the acoustics, Nina Zilli has a very defined joyous song that video makes her very hot indeed and watchable, nice Calvin Harris mix on Spectrum, love the POP production on Your Body , Skunk Anansie song has that intense energy you can get being to, I’m addicted to Shakira period and her sounds as well, good breakdown on Sweet Nothing. Good set and really like your taste in music and sets apart from everyone else/ Keep it up.
