What an odd list.
Metallica just seems so out of place. Jay-Z is just... no. Robbie Williams?
I agree with 1-5.
Jay Z should not be there, it should of been 2pac in that position
Without Jennifer Lopez crossing over, and being sucessful in music , film, fashion and being one of the most sucessful multimedia entertainer s ever Shakira and other others Latinas would not have been sucessful
Metallica should be replaced by The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Robbie Williams should not be on the list, but EVERYTHING ELSE YES!
Metallica, Jay-Z, Robbie Williams and Shakira? It's like they just threw them in for diversity's sake. Eh and is this just 1980-present or something?
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Shakira is one of biggest stars out there, she opened doors to every latin artist and she is one of the most versatil artists, out there. She is a legend and has sold more than 50 Million Albums WorldWide and overall more than 80Million Records. She had the biggest song of the last decade, so what are you talking about?

Are you serious? Jennifer Lopez has always lived in Shakira's shadow and always will. Shakira has nothing to do with her and since she debuted in the international market she has always been more sucessfull than JLo. Let's not forget that JLo is only latin coz of her blood, because musically, she is not that latin.
Too early for Gaga. Her career is just beginning and way too short to have any sort of impact among most on the list and the others brought up it was missing. Shes' a newbie compared to the artists who'd rank way above her.
Michael was the first black artist to have a video on MTV...
Not true. Prince, Musical Youth, Donna Summer, Tina Turner, and Eddie Grant (probably among others) all had videos on rotation before 1983, when "Billie Jean" premiered.
Jackson, however, WAS the first black artist to go on heavy rotation on MTV. That is, he was the first one to find superstardom on MTV. Many people misconstrue this fact and think he was the first black artist with a video on MTV, though.
