Hun, have you bothered to google the word "Unorthodox"? I think you should. This title has absolutely nothing to do with religion. It has to do with the fact that this album isn't gonna just mold into ONE genre of music. It's gonna be a collection of whatever type of music he felt like singing and recording at the time. Sounds unorthodox to me.

At first I was not a big fan of the title either, but I think he was referring to how he doesn't want to be put in a box when it comes to his musical taste, I mean the critics criticized his debut album for not having a theme and not knowing what kind of an artist he's, is he pop, hip pop or R&B, so unorthodox kinda means unexpected or doesn't follow a particular pattern. We are expecting to hear different styles of music. So now I get the purpose of the title.

you're confused about what the word "unorthodox" means. "unorthodox" means "contrary to what is usual, traditional, or accepted." in this instance I don't think it has anything to do with religion.

Yea he probably just hates the way he sounds on the song but loves the song lyrically and melodically. I just re-read the article and I think thats what he meant. lol
