People tend to come to conclusions without even giving that someone a chance.

Just because Nicole, or any other artist doesnt change their hair colors 10 times a day, wear a different wig every day, act like a 10 year old on twitter, pretend to be all bad ass and not giving a crap about anyone else, doesnt get involved in scandals or use controversy to gain attention, doesnt mean they dont have personality, or they are basic.

Sorry if I'm diggin' up an older topic, but I think i have to say some words. I think she definitely has a potential to be an international successful artist. Yes, a lot of you said it right: Her career in the UK is non-existent in the US, which makes me wonder a bit, as the UK is really important to whole europe as a country that distributes a lot of musical talents, like Leona Lewis, Robby Williams, One Direction and others. All of them had huge hits in whole europe and that the US doesn't take a look at what is in the #10 in european countries, which is actually really sad.

Well, I think that Cheryl needs to find a place in a television show in the US as she did in the UK. I think that her emotional and really carrying side would be more recognized in public (especially in countries outside the UK) if she had a place to actually show her feelings.

She's not the best singer, but not a bad one though. She does a great show, she's able to dance her ass off, she entertains people and you can actually work really good with her voice. I just think that the work with Will.I.Am is not a good idea. He might be an important part for the Black Eyed Peas, but he's not a great solo artist and additionally not a good producer and manager. I just hope Cheryl worked with different producers who influenced her in a positive way. It may sound stupid, but a collab with RedOne and Dr. Luke would be really helpful. Something with David Guetta, too. Those are people who could help her to break the national borders and become an international working artist.

I don't think that the age is really important for her career. She still looks really young. Not judging, but I think Britney is less photogenic than Cheryl and Cheryl is still able to wear really "young-making" clothing. So ...

All in all: If she has good producers for her next album, good connections, a good promotion and if she works with people who actually know what to do to be successful on the american market, I'd say yes. I'm pretty curious about her upcoming single 'Call My Name' and the yet untitled album that is going to be released this year.

Let us see what will come up ;-)

Is just a matter of time tbh. Call my.name could be a decent hit here at least. Most of the reviews from American blogs were saying this is THE song that can make her happen here.

Cheryl already faces much competition to even garner recognition. If she were to try and breakout in the US market, it would not be sustainable. She would go in the route of the Pussycat Dolls.
