She is probably overrated by the general public because most people only hear her songs on the radio, and don't realize how weak her vocals are.

And while I agree there has been some improvement since the start of her career, it is nothing to write home about. After about 6 or so years her improvement has been minimal. And the fact she lip syncs often (or at least uses a very heavy backing track) makes it hard for me to believe she is singing live most of the time.

She is getting better and better. But she is still very inconsistent because she doesn't rehearses much so she takes the risk to have very bad performances here and there and ofc the haters will cling to those for dear life and ignore the better ones. But this year she had more good than bad performances and it used to be the opposite. But she will never be considered a good vocalist and that's fine as long as she keeps releasing good music that fits her voice.

They're pretty bad and when she tries to emphasize her voice on ballads it just doesn't work because her voice is so weak. She's better at serving bops.

Everyone involved in the corporate music industry should be embarrassed that a major multimillionaire pop artist 8 years into her career is just now learning how to sing.

Not at all, but I do agree that she has this 'soft tone' to her voice. Unfortunately, I don't think there's nothing that makes her voice unique or that it is strong.

I am glad she found a style that fits her with this new album and I don't get why people are dragging her for it.
Yeah, maybe it's not the most difficult thing to sing but it suits her, just like our faves choose what ever suits them.

She makes cute songs and I like some of them but I do wish she was better.
