My friend has a back-up iPod, which I found in his room. He has 2 iPod, which the other one has rap/rock/metal music and the other one has pop music. I didn't wanna be snoopy, but...
Most of (if not all) my male friends dislike Pop music, especially sung by females.
They're all into rock etc... So am I but when I'm off on a night out it's not what I want blasting before I head out really, doesn't scream party.
Most of my straight friends either play Rap music or a few random dance tracks. The only pop star they probably listen to is Rihanna and occasionally beyonce depending on the song I hate the fact that what music you listen to defines your sexuality tho its stupid as hell but thats society for ya
Is funny how Pop Music in the mind of the people works:
I've heard people saying that if you like Female singers you're gay because how the hell you can identify yourself with a girl, and if you listen to Male singers, they say you're gay because you're in love with them
I think that people reflects their underneath desires

I have never got that either. Surely you just listen to music you like, because you like it and for no other underlying reasons? Don't be silly Rosalita, that'd be implying common sense.

That's just really sad. He must be really insecure if he has an seperate ipod to hide his true music taste so people don't think less of him.
Here, if you listen to Britney, Gaga or Madonna you're gay, if you listen Katy, Rihanna, etc they think you're cool and some reggaeton **** that I don't use.
It kind of changed now though, since we have more female singers. Remember Christina/Britney/Mandy/Jessica/Destiny's Child then Avril/Michelle/Jojo/Ashlee/Hilary/Lindsay era? Yeah. Now it's kinda nice that straight guys I know listens and are not afraid to share that they like Rihanna, Kesha, Adele & Nicki songs. They even like Katie Perry ugh.
most of the producers behind pop music are men, if not all, and they're all straight

True story.
And I completely understand you, though I'm really ashamed of my pop music.
It would come of as ignorant if somebody says that it defines your orientation, I think it's more related to what you start to listen since you're born, and obviously your musical preferences.
