It's cool that they are praised, but I don't agree with these titles.
Why is Beyoncé the Diva? That's disrespectful to her. I feel like they gave her that title because she is highly sexualized and a traditional pop-star in many ways. But the many negative connotations about being a Diva also go along with that, which is exactly why she put out the song "Diva". Someone like Mariah Carey or Christina Aguilera can be given the title of Diva, but that's not what Beyoncé is.
How is Rihanna the rebel? She is the exact opposite of a rebel. Her music follows all the trends and her fashion is always trendy and what's "hot" at the moment. Maybe they should've had Rihanna as the diva and Beyoncé as the rebel. Beyoncé's release of her fifth album should be reason enough. And Rihanna's attitude towards her fans and personality screams DIVA.
Jay-Z is obviously a Mogul, but he isn't any more of a Mogul than Beyoncé. In fact, Kanye, Jay, and Bey are all great Moguls. To give him a separate title of Mogul is a bit disrespectful to everyone else.
Kanye being the poet makes absolutely no sense. Especially because since 2008 he hasn't had one good song lyrically. He is an amazing musician and his music is genius, but his lyrics are the worst part of his music, so calling him the poet is stupid. Jay-Z is ten times more of a poet than Kanye and he actually shows passion for real issues, not self-indulgent ones.
But praise them I guess.

I agree with all of this. I think they were just messy and not really conscious of the terms.

I don't think that's what he's saying. There are other complimentary terms that could be used for Rihanna and Kanye. All-these terms were slightly off

Girl, shut up. The titles they chose are PERFECT.
*" Diva" is a word that Beyoncé has sought to reclaim her entire career, why else would she name a song after it. She is a strong, independent businesswoman sitting at the throne of pop culture. She is REDEFINING what it means to be a diva and extinguishing the negative stereotypes.
*Rihanna is definitely a " Rebel". There is a difference between following trends and setting trends, and Rihanna is definitely the latter. She marches to the beat of her own drum and does things entirely her own way. She is bold, brazen, and fearless in her real life as well as in her music....There is NO ONE like her.
*Jay-Z's entire brand nowadays is about being a boss and having his hand in multiple business ventures. He is most certainly THE " Mogul".
*And " Poet" is a perfectly apt title for Kanye. A poet is an artist; creative, emotive, and not always understood. Their words and actions may not always have a positive reception, but what's important is their need to express. And kii @ you saying that Jay-Z cares more about real-life issues when all he raps about is money. Get a grip.

You're wrong about Beyonce. She said in her intervew with Piers Morgan that she's very much comfortable with that label because she has met divas and has a firm comprehension of the title. Being a diva is not synonymous with a bad attitude. Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross and Aretha Franklin would be classified as divas too and not in a derogatory light.

Wait, so you think it's disrespectful to classify Bey as a Diva (a term she redefined and referred to herself as) because of "negative connotations" but you have no problem placing the word on Rihanna because you think an ill fitting word would better suite her ?! Girl BYE

So you just skipped over the part where I said Kanye's music is genius? I also love Rihanna and have all of her albums. Just because I think something is trendy doesn't mean I don't like it. I like Kanye's music more than Jay-Z's, I just happen to think Jay is more of a poet.

I actually think you're the one that should shut up if you can't accept that someone has a different opinion than you. You can choose to believe whatever you please, but I don't agree with it.
Beyoncé isn't trying to be a DIVA. Maybe at the beginning of her career she was, but now she has matured a lot and realized all the negativity surrounding that. She is more personable now and doesn't have that same diva attitude she had back in the early 2000's. The reason why she made "DIVA" was to try and change the meaning of the word, but the song didn't do that and the word still has the same definition, so it's being used negatively no matter how you put it. I know EBONY may not be exactly using it in a negative way, but it's still negative in context.
I'm not exactly sure that Rihanna has ever set a trend. If you can name one she has started then maybe I will reconsider my opinion. I have followed Rihanna's career since Pon De Replay and I have seen her change again and again to fit the trends going on in music. "We Found Love" and "Diamonds" are perfect examples of that. I think both are amazing songs, but that doesn't make her a "rebel" in any way. Smoking pot and posting rude comments on Instagram doesn't exactly give her the title of Rebel either.
What you mentioned for Jay-Z is the exact same thing for Beyoncé and Kanye. All three are bosses and have their hand in multiple business ventures.
Also, just because Jay-Z raps about money doesn't mean it's all he cares about. Because Rihanna sings about sex and drugs, does that mean that's all she cares about also? Jay-Z has done many interviews where he has spoken about issues he cares about and is very passionate about chaining the business and music industry. Yes, Kanye has that "need to express" and emotional attitude of a poet, but the results don't add up. He talks so much, but never delivers. That's not what a poet is. A poet expresses themselves in their art. Kanye just does **** to get a rise out of people and have all the attention on himself. If he actually cared, he would work on spitting some good bars about his passionate views instead of the weak and lazy lyricism in Yeezus.

I agree with this. Beyoncé isn't a Diva in the traditional sense and calling her that is
so lazy of them. They could of thought of a more appropriate word.
Rebel is a nice term for Rihanna, because it goes with her persona, but I think even she
deserves a something grander.
As for Kanye and this soft title "poet" he is not Tupac
