Like, all but 1 of their Drama Series noms are for newbies.

Outlander's first book is mediocre though and I've been slowly getting through a second book and it's taking forever. I doubt I'd like the show.

I'm not talking about Tv or TV movies. I'm speaking of theatrical releases.

Will is obviously a filler nomination.
Idris' role in BonN was great but he's playing a West African Civil War commander. Anytime a movie circles around Africa or anything like that, the nomination is going to be there regardless.

Compton was/is a good movie, surpassed expectations and is the highest grosses music biopic to date. For the biggest musical of the year with good reviews to match to not even be nominated in the Best Comedy/Musical Catergory is ridiculous.

And though it didn't have stars in the actual movie (which made it even better) Dre and Ice Cube are 2 pretty big stars.

As an East Asian, I'm used to seeing zero representation at awards.
So far this decade zero East Asian actors exist to the Golden Globes. I would say my people are more severely under-represented, to the point of not existing.

Even in Foreign Language Film, the only nominee with said actors is The Flowers of War, which is about a White Savior Guy in Christian Bale, so...that's not really support.
