I like their message but I would never do that. I pay a ridiculous amount for pieces of cloth every month. It ****ing sucks so good on them for protesting it.
This is unsanitary and ****ing vile. Yall dont see people walking around with **** in their pants protesting toilet paper taxes. Keep bodily fluids, ESPECIALLY BLOOD, under control and not exposed.
Periods aren't "nasty, disgusting, smelly or vile", they are natural and we don't want to have them anymore than you do but we do and shaming us for having them or making us pay ridiculous amounts and taxing the **** out of them isn't going to stop this natural bodily function or help anyone but the government.
Half of these women or maybe even all of them more than likely used fake blood, its really coincidental that all of their periods synced up and happened to be on the same day that they wanted to do this protest. They must have phoned mother nature and told her they were ready for their monthly cycle, seeing the ignorance y'all spew about women's bodies y'all probably think thats the way periods actually work. Even if one of these women was on her monthly during this imagine how absolutely uncomfortable that would feel for her walking around all day.
It's not in good taste but it was for a good cause and before today how many people were talking about this issue, one which some people didn't even know was an issue.
Y'all being disgusted by it are missing the point. We don't want to bleed through our clothes like this, trust me we want to avoid this happening as much as you do. Which is why the tax on tampons should be removed so we can all just get back to our normal lives. If male politicians would just stop being so moronic and sexist none of this would have happened. Don't get mad at the women, get mad at the politicians
