Promiscuity shaming is in the straight community too. Women and Gay men get the worst of it though, and while hetero guys also get flack for it (somewhat) it obviously isn't on par with the shaming the other two get.

Personally, I don't think promiscuity is anything to be proud of. But that's my opinion. I do agree that being promiscuous while single is at least better than being promiscuous while in a "relationship", which makes you quite gross, tbh.

And if promiscuous people feel judged, and would like it to stop, shouldn't they also stop? In real life, I've seen that a lot of those people are very quick to label people who do not agree with their lifestyle as "boring", ld souls" or even saying that they're unattractive and hence why they can't lead the same lifestyle they follow, and are in a way jealous. There is judgement from both sides, tbh.

man i'm gonna be honest, i hate this attitude. so we should just let people cause problems for themselves and those around them in an attempt to mind our own business? you do realize that these problems don't just affect them, right? no, i have no desire to let people cause themselves harm in an attempt to be non-judgmental or whatever. it's not like they're doing heroin, but this isn't a healthy habit, and it's pretty ridiculous to me to suggest that people shouldn't be exposed to any criticism for their actions.

i know that type of feeling can lead to hyper-restriction, and i don't think there should be a law against it or something. i just think we can't just let people cause themselves problems like that.

You're not anyone's parent. And being promiscuous doesn't imply causing harm on anybody. Are you for people judging others' lives even if said life is yours?

Having an unhealthy obsession with sex is not the same thing as being promiscuous.

I'm so f'n sick of sex-negative and sex-shaming LGBT people. With the quest to "normalize" LGBT people and further acceptance, many in the latest generation of LGBT people have become completely unaware of how regressive and sanctimonious they've become about sex which is a natural act regardless of one's sexual orientation. It's incredibly obnoxious and there is this tinge of self-loathing that's bubbling just underneath the surface there.
