Because it is a flop. Had Work Bitch went to #1 and Britney Jean sell 300K copies first week THIS wouldn't be an issue.

You know I was the one to say that stanning for sales on ATRL do not exist but then the whole BEYONCE and Britney Jean fiasco happened and I absolutely turned the other cheek.

BEYONCE is a far superior album than Britney Jean in any ways imagined BUT it's given so much credit. It's not even Beyonce's best album. While Britney Jean on the other hand, her only album that didn't debut inside the Top 2 was decently received by ATRL prior to its release in the week it leaked but then tables turned because of it flopping.

The only horrible songs there were the dance-pop trinity ISBE, BA and TTB. Other than those, the album is solid. Can't believe people are actually coming for the album not sounding like Britney when Femme Fatale had more robotized vocals. I'm pretty sure Passenger is the only song there half-recorded by Britney and with the vocals leaking, she SANG it.

And no, Alien is not the best song on the album imo. The song is awkwardly sang. But the production is nice.

Just take a look at how violently Bionic was received and how it's not problematic anymore to defend it as a misunderstood album. Once an album's reputation has been made, it takes time to go back to the music and ignore all the bandwagoning, all the anger...

PS/ "Passenger" is easily one of the 5/6 highlights of the record. A wonderful,wonderful song.
