Demi is clearly the better vocalist of the entire poll. And this is not me being biased. It's cold hard fact.

At the age of 21, considered "adult territory" Demi has already overstepped the mark on vocal power, control and maturity. She's been belting since the age of 16 and has always been at least 10 years above her contemporaries in chest register. With such advanced chest ability the issues she's faced that have affected her vocal chords (i.e. Enlarged tonsils, throwing up ect) have not been able to triumph and bring her voice down like it would any other her age. She's been able to endure and somewhat improve despite her shortcomings.

She is quite possibly the most powerful, versatile and emotive 21 year old vocalist we've seen since Whitney Houston. And this is with very little vocal training. If she got voice lessons now, especially Classical/Broadway style she'd be so far above what her contemporaries can do that it really would be so silly to put her in stupid polls like this. However, because she hasn't had sufficient vocal training and really lacks in the head voice register, I will excuse it.

Let's not forget that Miss Lovato is both a technical singer and an emotional singer. Which means she's capable of technical ability the likes Ariana has while still having an extremely emotive voice that brings her songs to life. If only she would get some vocal training so she can tap into this insanely underused potential that lies within her.

Demi with a bit of up-to-date vocal training would be at Kelly Clarkson or Celine Dion level at the very young age of 21. And in her 30's it's possible she could be compared to, in my opinion, the best vocalist there ever was; Whitney Houston. There is no limitations on vocal growth for Lovato. Not at all.

Demi is the best among the four. Ariana has a good vocal strategy but that doesn't mean her vocals are that good. Demi could pull off her style but she couldn't pull off Demi's.

She needs help with her headvoice phrasing in the fifth octave and supporting her chest notes in the lower third octave once that's out of the way god help every one elses faves

Hopefully she could get some training, she's only 21, she has yet to reach her full potential as a female vocalist

She showcases it in her live performances. Watch some of her performances from her tours in 2011, 2012 & 2013. Watch some from some non televised concert events like Wango Tango.

DEMI was also an example of how good her vocals are. However, I never judge a singer from their studio albums. I always judge them from live performances.

Demi is a better belter, which would make sense seeing that Whitney is her biggest inspiration (I think).

Ariana has more range much like Mariah.

It depends on what you prefer. I will tell anyone that I think Mariah in her prime was the best vocalist of all time due to her versatility and the ability to fluctuate between notes effortlessly, but some people might say Whitney was the best, so it really just depends on your taste.

i think demi might better than ariana, the only reason why i select arianna is ariana falsetto and demi wast her vocal ability on her cheap law quality songs. she has so much more potential than what she put out.

The only reason I said Ariana>or= Demi is because Ariana's head voice is stronger than Demi's and she has slightly a bit more agility when phrasing but other than that they're are on the same level vocally

That's the question isn't it? Where would she be if not for the shortcomings she's had to face because of her issues and because she hasn't had sufficient vocal training to support her voice.

They can dispute it all they want. Kelly and Celine are two of Demi's biggest vocal inspirations. I mean obviously there is X-tina too but comparing Demi to X-tina today is laughable as X-tina has destroyed her own voice. Which is why I'll only keep it to Kelly or Celine who still have their vocal ability intact and have been improving throughout the years.

I'll only mention Whitney when at such time Demi does hit her vocal prime. She isn't there yet. She's gotta be in her 30's to be compared to "The Voice". And she also needs to get some damn vocal training to spruce up her vocal flaws. Registery in particular. But phrasing and melisma as well.

You could be the most gifted natural singer on the planet. Doesn't mean you're above vocal training. Every singer needs vocal training no matter how good they may be because there is always room for improvement.
