Ke$ha is pop-rap, though more talk-sing than rapping. Flo Rida, Pitbull and will.i.am are good examples of dance-rap / pop-rap / house-rap. Azealia Banks is house-rap too.
More left-field: Linkin Park are my favourite nu-metal band, and they have lots of rapping. Limp Bizkit are nu-metal rap too.
I love grime and old-school garage too. Wiley, Dizzee, Tinie, etc.
So I actually love rap (and black people, before any idiot claims I'm racist, despite being half-Ugandan myself), I just don't like 90% of hip-hop artists and music.
That's what they all say
Just admit your ignorant and leave

If people dislike it it's because of their own preference, not something wrong with the genre.
But sometimes people bash rap music for x, y, and z, yet will b0P to another genre of music with the same x, y, and z "problem". Hypocrisy is what bothers me.
I still listen to all of the Hip-Hop/Rap classics from the 90s & early 00s and saved them into a usb for my car, pc, and phone so it will never die out!
I think the haters of Pop are different from Hip-Hop. Yes, Pop is commonly misconstrued but not to the level of Hip-Hop. It's something that is very misunderstood. Pop music, although not basic, is not far from what people perceive it as. There are a few exceptions of artists who try to push boundaries and maintain some type of lyrical depth with their music, but the majority is regularly correct to what people think of it as.
There isn't a legit reason to hate any genre of music. Hipsters hating pop, pop fans hating Indie music, rock fans hating hip-hop, it all falls in the same ignorant boat
Why not? Its the persons opinion. If the person is able to make a good reason why they don't like that genre of music then I think it should be fine.
