i'm not following charts or awards show!! The last "Girls" album deserved nominations and awards.. and The King Of Limbs too..
its better just enjoy music and support the indie acts you love!!
Life is way much easier when you just ignore the crappy mainstream (pop especially).
Agreed with at least an award for FSHG & TKoL, but award shows are about popularity tho. Not really surprised. But I heard A2IM is gonna throw a party for indie scene. First Independent Music Award this year.
Joining ATRL always forced me to laughing my ass off every time I read posts from delusional pop fans. Far too many ppl here got a severe case of short attention span. But without their posts, I won't have a good time here. Do I need to tell them that the world doesn't revolve around Pop Charts & Award shows (sales number & media exposure too)? Sometimes I feel bad for them tho. lol

i listen to pop music but i need creative and different music that you just can't find on the radio.. And imo is very important to support these bands..
I hope someday i can see The Black Lips and Girls live.. i've been enjoying their music the last months

Pop has gone downhill since Madonna came to the scene. For her, music = dancing (I know this will offend a lot of people, but that's the truth darling).
Oh ****. Talking about a GIRLS show, I missed one when they were in Australia recently. ****.
Cults and Hooray For Earth were two of my favorites from last summer.
Real Estate's album is great too! I heard them in a bar last weekend and it felt so right Frankie Rose's debut album is one of the best I've heard this year. "Gospel/Grace" is beautiful.
In fact, here's a link to a Spotify playlist of mine I've created. There's only music from 2012 on it
