That would literally be 5-10% of profits, that wouldn't be feasible She has to pay herself, all the crew, dancers, band members, supporting acts, managers, labels, arenas, etc. You need a certain amount of profits to be able to do that

Jesuschrist. If she doesn't donate anything, then she's a greedy b***ch. If she donates too much, she's obviously trying to make herself look good. If she donates one buck from each ticket, then she's cheap as hell.
She does not have to donate anything at all if she doesn't want to. Many of us can't donate to the causes we would like to support, but even if it's one buck or less, we will do whatever we can to help. And besides, she will sell thousands and thousands of tickets, the donation will still be HUGE.
And for those who are saying that "it's obvious that it's just a marketing trick", well, what makes it so obvious? Do you have any proof? Stop judging without any fundament.

I love Katy Perry, but I am going to break some of the delusion that runs rapid on ATRL. When a celebrity, be it an athlete or a singer makes a charitable donation or whatever, it's either because:
A. Their PR firm is trying to safe face on their image.
or
B. They are adhering to the "give back to the community" clause.
Yes, some artists do genuinely care. But a dollar donation to UNICEF per ticket sounds more like that giving back to the community clause.

Settle down. I am one of Katy's biggest supporters. My post was in no way targeting her., I commented based on the snide remarks in here. Katy donates more than money and many of her donations are not announced.
