Men are also more in control of their emotions than women in general. It is expected that a man should not put their hands on a woman unless they are in danger.

Doesn't matter who is the stronger person. That's the point. In a society where everyone is treated equal under the law, you have to deal with the reality that different people will have different levels of strength. If a weaker person initiates a violent confrontation and get the worst end of it. That's their own fault. The strength of the individual shouldn't matter. Just because you are the weaker party does't mean you get to hit someone without the other person defending themselves. If a weaker person hit him in a violent confrontation, he would almost certainly respond back with full force. Its a natural human reaction to respond.
Women claimed they wanted equal rights but now they get it and it turns out they want special treatment under the law. They think they can go around hitting men and expect the guy to get in trouble if he responds in kind and in many cases even if he doesn't respond. No one said anything about domestic violence when Tiger's wife was beating on him. Why wasn't she arrested for domestic violence with a weapon? A man in the same situation where his wife cheated on him and as a result started beating up his wife would've gone to jail.
