Damn why do some of ya'll hate religion so much? I am not religious as i used to be but i know quite a few who are religious and very accepting of gays and people of other religions. Not all religious people are closed minded assholes. You can be non religious and be just as stupid.

I'm perfectly happy with the way that people practise religion and so on, but I just feel that the way people put blind faith in a "higher being" in order to explain the unexplainable is slightly questionable.

Which is totally fair and a sound point. But some get offended easily at the thought someone would question that aspect without forming an intelligent response.

My uncle is one of those types and i can't stand him as he thinks his religion is right and others is wrong.

Girl, Einstein is the father of Physics. Scientists are just discovering his writings about the Universe are true. For example some of his calculations about black holes are just being proven correct. If Einstein believes in a God and he is the authority when it comes to the father of all sciences then I believe his thoughts about God are pretty darn authoritative.

I believe in science, but I do find comfort at the thought of an afterlife/heaven sometimes Most of the Bible is bs in my opinion, but I do think there could be a creator. Who knows? There's no way we could find out unless Jesus came back and sent the whole lot of us straight to hell or something

I believe that religion was created a very long time ago by people who wanted answers for existence and for what happens after death. They found answers from a "higher power" and it comforted them, and soon it spread everywhere.

It's pretty ridiculous to think that religion can be wiped out, there will always be religion, no matter how much the numbers may dwindle. People will always be searching for answers from a higher power. Religion is booming in many developing nations worldwide, Legend X isn't going anywhere for a while it seems

But do you think a truly loving god would send non believers into a fire eternally for not believing something that hasn't been proven?

I don't believe in heaven or hell. I'm not Christian. As I said, the thought of heaven is comforting to me (not that I think it's real) because dying scares me sh*tless, but I think there could be a higher power, or a creator. If there was a heaven, I'd think it'd be a place where anyone can go I don't believe in Jesus/Adam&Eve/Moses and Co.

I am genuinely unafraid to die. Obviously I don't wanna die now, but when the time comes I'll die knowing I did the most I could in life and that what I did made me happy.
