Had to give him the benefit of a doubt, this year has f***ed up everyone's predictions.
I didn't know how strong he was going to debut; this time I legit thought he could had did some 65K+ but I was wrong.

What's the point of getting a #1 album if you're selling under 150k copies?

Surprised no one posted this.

Trey Songz easily gets the #1 spot on next week's chart as it's the only title that will break six figures. Nothing else even comes close. For now, it looks like Universal will score six slots in the Top 10. Here's how it looks headed into the weekend:
*Trey Songz (Atlantic) 125-135k
Now 43 (Capitol/EMI) 45-50k
2 Chainz (Def Jam/IDJ) 45-50k
*DJ Khaled (Republic) 40-45k
Maroon 5 (A&M/Octone) 35-40k
Justin Bieber (Island/IDJ) 30-35k
Rick Ross (Def Jam/IDJ) 27-30k
*Tenth Avenue North (Provident) 27-30k
*Owl City (Republic) 25-28k
Adele (XL/Columbia) 23-26k
One Direction (Syco/Columbia) 23-26k
*Dustin Lynch (Broken Bow) 22-25k
fun. (Fueled By Ramen) 20-23k
Zac Brown Band (Atlantic) 17-20k
Kidz Bop Kids (Razor & Tie) 17-20k

Its gonna be a close one for Adele D:

What has Some Nights and Making Mirrors sold so far? Looks Some Nights (single) is doing wonders for the album.
Maroon 5 and Bieber
Where's Carrie Underwood?

Seems fun. will be reaching platinum, whereas Gotye will end up struggling unless he gets another hit.
Shame, because Making Mirrors is the better effort overall.

Sucks. MM > SN in quality, but both albums are very well crafted.
I hope Gotye finds another hit AKA Eyes Wide Open / I Feel Better.

At the end of this decade, I predict only the top 5 to be still in the top 20

Smoke and Mirrors is definitely one of the best tracks on the album. I still get chills whenever I hear that, "Mother... are you watching?".
And yeah, I kind of doubt he'll get another hit, which is a shame because he's a fascinating artist. He doesn't deserve to go down in history as the guy who wrote Somebody That I Used to Know (which is a great song, but is far from his best).
