I think it could be good for her. She will only be able to get better at performing and feeling more comfortable onstage while making $$$. She doesn't have to do it for years. Maybe one or two and then get back to business.

Britney is doing a Vegas headlining act. Performing a certain amount of times a week, for an extended amount of time for $100M+. Beyoncé is endorsed by Pepsi. All she has to do is take pictures, and film commercials and she is getting $50M. They are the farthest things to compare and gloat over. Just stop. Both deals are great and very different.

100+ million dollars is the same as Katy selling 400 number 1s. Selling singles and albums doesn't get much money. Scream and Shout won't make much money and the song only worked because will.i.am asked Belgian (one of the important EDM countries) producers to dust off a track they created in leisure time. Touring, merchandising, endorsement deals,... is the large part of the earnings. Britney lost almost all of her fans and the large part of her earnings is threatened.

2012 looked like Britney's career has come to an end. Her dancing (unique selling point) is completely gone, there was nothing left to see in her shows and her fans became so extinct that her rallying calls on TV, buses and in my mailbox wasn't enough to sell more than 50% of continental European arenas.

The crowds in Vegas are a little different than her usual fans.

They could be bringing her in hoping it will bring a younger audience to their casino, too. I mean a younger crowd would rather stay where she's doing her show than one of the other hotel/casino's.
