Blockbuster films like Twilight and The Hunger Games have produced soundtracks that have topped the Billboard 200 album charts. The upcoming teen flick The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is hoping for similar success with its accompanying album. It chances look good with a new track by Demi Lovato.
"Heart By Heart" is, at its core, a pop ballad but with a gritty, rock edge. it showcases The X Factor judge's powerful vocals, particularly when she lets it rip at the end with a major diva belt.

I wouldn't go that far. These lyrics are a bit cheesy. It's appropriate for a movie like this is, and the vocals and production have an epic cinematic feel that's perfect for a film. It's a great song that shows off how talented of a vocalist she is but I'd still take Nightingale and Warrior over this. They need to make this the main single from the album. I know Colbie and Ariana are Republic Records artists but Colbie's song isn't even charting, and Demi is charting higher than Ariana.
