That would mean that Interscope figured out what to with her and how to place on the US market, which I totally doubt. They could have done so much more, especially in terms of pushing her songs on radio. I hope they have learned their lesson.

Still, Lana is a good example that good music sells even without in your face promo all the time.

I still think they're shocked at the amount of success the album had. I don't think they ever intended the album to be such an iconic album, that they never knew what to truly do with her, and quite honestly, I think Lana also wanted this to happen.

I wonder if there will be a changing of the guard as regards top female at Interscope in the near future? Maybe some of the launch budget set aside for Gaga's next album may find its way on to the launch budget for Ultraviolence instead? Interesting times ahead for that record label and the 2 artists in question. Could it be the tortoise and the hare story all over again?

I think it is definately interesting to see this somehow new situation for Interscope, but I doubt that they have already planned a budget for Gaga's next album release. ARTPOP is out since a couple of weeks, her next album probably won't come out till 2015 and they can not promote Lana the same way they do it with Gaga.

If she makes a strong album, then they will invest big but I don't think they will try to throw Lana in everyone faces, like they did with Gaga.

I hope for a great Video, I know she likes A. Mandler but I'm more here for a Woodkin styled first video.

Then they should invest in Radio and she should visit all important radio stations.

The good thing is that she comes quite cheap, they don't have to invest much money in designers, dancers, stage and all that jazz. I'm sure she will make a Ultraviolence Tour in the US but they don't have to go for stadiums, just places from 5 to 15 thousand people and some famous Theaters like Fillmore San Fr. or in Nashville (she can sing Ring of Fire, like she did in the L'Olympia in Paris with Frank Sinatra's song) and it will be great.
