People know his songs but they don't know him. He also sells a lot here and if I asked my parents : 'Do you know who Bruno Mars is ?', they'd both answer 'Who ?'.
omg They did way too much on Bruno, of course everyone knows who he is I still think it's way too early into his career to headline, BUT I can also see why he was picked. Two female pop stars in a row... if they want a male pop star, Bruno is really the best choice at the moment.

Most of these people don't listen to Top 40 radio; therefore, they've probably only heard a song or two, and don't really know who it's bye. He doesn't have the cultural impact of other artists that have been selected to perform at such a high-level event.
