Who gives a **** if Rihanna could open at #1 at this time of the year. If she ever did, her lifetime album sales would hover at 300K. There's a reason they release in November.

I think the ideal release time would be september for rih...she has lonevity in the first few months of her releases and her album wouldn't be old enough to not be affected by holiday sales

It's sad that people here have to speculate what month would give her a number one depending when she released her album, when she can't rely on the quality of her album to do it.

my post had less to do with a number one than it did ensuring solid sales through the winter season. Not many albums sell as well as rih's do tbh, and not many artists have 5 platinum albums to their name, either.
