No that's not how it works It may overperform and do over 150k or near 200k, but it's not gonna do over 900k

People that bought concert tickets for Madonna can start redeeming and downloading the Super Deluxe Edition now so her numbers should grow a lot.

Did ANY of you see MDNA's first week numbers? Are we going to pretend that didn't happen? (selling around 140-160k WITHOUT that tour bundle included in that inflated first week number). She had the Super Bowl, and I think that first single at least debuted on the charts.
She's going into this sales week basically solely on her name. The song is NOT selling, the streaming is pitiful, and her music video views are little to be desired. I am excluding ANY ageist excuse, as should you all from using her age as an excuse since she says that shouldn't be used as a factor in her career.
She will be lucky to do 120-140k WITHOUT the bundle (aaaaagain). Regardless, the numbers are AMAZING for her career stature, so in the end, none of it matters since she will tour and sell out everywhere, which is where the REAL money and accomplishments are these days.

beyonce is slaying your faves? need proof? how much did ellie's last album sell in the USA? the weeknd's? beyonce's sold over 2 milli, hunty. that proves as FACT that ellie and weeknd are dragging down the sales. without their songs, this soundtrack that beyonce graced with her presence would have sold over 600k first week. can't argue with facts, hunty

This is a "Spring Break" release for Luke Bryan, which typically opens up around 100,000. His actual release, coming out in a couple of months, will likely pull in closer to 500,000.

The album price was included on the bundle tho. Also you dont know how many people would buy the album if it wasnt included.

Streaming? Free downloads?
The fact she's old and she isnt the IT girl anymore. Only her stans buy her albums, the GP is not exposed all day to her music on the radio.
The same happens to Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger and every old legend.

With her last release, she sold around 70% of her total copies of the release in the first week with the bundle. Some are saying she included download instructions for her CD if you went to her concert, which would boost her numbers. I am pulling for Luke Bryan, but his real release is still a couple of months away. Also, you've got to have one of the greatest Avatars on ATRL.

It would not surprise me at all to see the Empire soundtrack get heavily-promoted to the 13 million people watching the show tomorrow night and snatch the #1 with a huge overperformance.

U2's last album with a traditional release (not serviced to hundreds of millions of Apple accounts) sold over 400k first week in the US, just for the record.

And that's clearly not the one I'm talking about though. My point was that is not that abnormal for older artists to sell out tours and not necessarily sell millions anymore.
