I've just tried varying the radio weight again (assuming no other factors added). It looks like the radio weight = 1.66667 (5/3) is quite close to what they mentioned (500 pts difference).

But I made lots of assumptions though. It could be wrong.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit, seeing as they cheated Bieber out of a number one.

The thing was that Bieber was never close to being #1. Without the adjusted ratio for airplay we have today they would have still beat him by a good 50-60 points.

The live shows start next week, I think? So that is normally when performances happen so they could very well perform it next week. As for Psy I really don't know if he has any major promo but he was on Jimmy Kimmel last night.

I don't think Bieber was a cheat. "WAY" had over 1.1 million streams to his 0, so the sales advantage had no effect.

But this is really too close to call. Although we don't know the exact layout of weight, Psy clearly had the advantage this week. They either lied about sales taking the lead in greatest weight or they're for whatever reason not wanting to crown him No. 1.

Maroon5 would never discount a song that sells.
They are more than okay with OMN getting this range of success and won't waste promotion on it.
Live rounds start in November so by the time they will have the opportunity to promote a single they will use it to deliver Daylight, which is way more in need of promotion compared to the flawless reggae/disco/sexy infusion of the amazing One More Night.

If PSY discounts, be sure nor Octone nor M5 will follow.

It's just not the way they operate with songs; they didn't do it either with MLJ when they were up for getting one more week at #1 with it last year.

Anyway I am surprised PSY didn't get it this week.
